Sulphur Middle School - A Proud OETT-K20 School
In June of 2010, Sulphur Middle School was awarded an Oklahoma Educational Technology Trust grant to purchase much needed technology for the school. In partnership with OU's K-20 Center, monthly staff development was provided throughout the school year to train teachers. Funds were made available for the purchase of lap-top computers, digital and video cameras, and a site license for Safari Montage.
To utilize our additional technology skills and equipment, we set out to create a school-wide project entitled, "Getting to Know Sulphur." Each core subject area planned and implemented lessons plans centered on one of eight themes: History of the of the Town Past and Present, Sulphur's Demographics Over Time, Geographical Features of Sulphur, Importance of Sulphur's Springs, Chickasaw National Recreation Area, and Influence of the Chickasaws and Art in our Town.
